This is an exceptional Art Nouveau locked depicting a woman in a flower. A variety of gold colours have been to accentuate the design, and a dark coloured paste* has been set in one flower. The inside of the locket includes components to hold portraits on both sides, and is marked for Wightman & Hough, of Providence, Rhode Island, who were in business from 1856 to 1922.
Era: Art Nouveau (c. 1900)
Size: 30 mm in diameter
Materials: Gold filled. Unknown metal base.
Marks: Maker's mark.
Condition Notes:
*Please note that upon close examination the paste appears to be chipped. This is mentioned for accuracy, and does not detract from the locket. Locket is priced accordingly.
