Victorian brooch featuring a pair of cherubs; the left cherub writes or paints while the right cherub holds a string connecting to a butterfly in flight. The image is beautifully hand painted on natural material, set in sterling silver frame with vermeil accents. The painting is protected on reverse by a panel of unknown metal composition; original c-clasp pin closure.
