This early 20th century brooch features a blue moon glow glass cabochon of 16.5mm x 11.5mm, bezel set in a sterling frame. The frame features the geometric 'Greek keys of life" pattern often used in Art Deco architecture and design. The setting is marked sterling and the brooch is secured with a c-clasp closure.
Moon glow glass pre-dates lucite moonglow orbs and is valued by art glass collectors. This glass features a translucent glass 'layer' of vibrant cobalt blue over an opaque base to create depth.
